Description

My contribution for the Fennedible contest

Name: Stage 2: Blue Csmog or Hyoscamus idas

Size: About 20-100 centimeters (grows about 10 centimeters per stage)

Locations: Meadows, glades and really old forests

Rarity: Common to very common

Taste: Bad, but changes when the poison-level decreases.

Danger level: Non existing. Are very peaceful creatures.

Poisonous: medium-high and decreases for each stage. When it reaches stage 7 it is not poisonous at all.

Food: Bugs, flies, edible flowers and herbs

Extra traits: Goes through nine different levels before it becomes fully developed. It hibernates during the winter. It's also then they evolve into the next stage in the cycle.

When they hibernate they look for a good branch high up in a tree way into the forest. Then they roll up the wings tightly around the body and twist the legs all around. When it's done it looks like a teardrop-shaped cocoon. About one month later the process of developing into the next stage begins. Then the cocoon flashes in two different colors the rest of the winter. (The color depends on what color the Csmog had and will have). During the night they glow at their brightest and because they want to hibernate in groups. It looks like a million stars flashing in all of the color of the rainbow if you where lucky enough to find them.

The tip of the wings shows the next stage wing-color. The color of the wings change every winter until they've reached the last stage - stage 9. Only the ones that reach stage 9 can reproduce offspring's.

Ages is unknown. Can fly in the early stages, but when it gets to heavy it just keeps the balance with the wings. And to see a fully developed Csmog is a rare sight. They just get more rare for each stage.
